Sangareddy: A shocking case of familicide has emerged from Malkapur village in Kondapur mandal, Sangareddy district, where a man allegedly hanged his two children to death before taking his own life.
The incident came to light on Sunday morning when neighbours reported a disturbing silence from the home of Subhash, a local resident. According to police, Subhash had been living with his wife and two children—13-year-old Marin and 10-year-old Aaradhya—in Malkapur. However, recent tensions in the household had reportedly driven his wife to leave the family home.
Struggling with emotional distress following her departure, Subhash is believed to have taken the drastic step late on Saturday night. He allegedly strangled both children by hanging them and then died by suicide in a similar manner.
Local residents informed the authorities after discovering the tragedy. Police personnel arrived at the scene and recovered the three bodies. They were sent for post-mortem examination at the district hospital.
An FIR has been registered, and an investigation is underway to establish the sequence of events and the mental state of the deceased prior to the incident.
