HYDERABAD: A 29-year-old man died by suicide after incurring a loss of ₹2 lakh in cricket betting in Goudavelli under the Medchal Police Station limits. The incident occurred on Tuesday, sending shockwaves through the local community.
The deceased has been identified as Somesh, a resident of Gundla Pochampally. According to police reports, Somesh had recently lost ₹2 lakh in cricket betting and was reportedly under severe mental distress.
Unable to cope with the financial loss and emotional burden, Somesh ended his life by jumping in front of a moving train near Goudavelli. Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter further.
