Hyderabad: A domestic dispute ended in tragedy in Veldanda mandal of Telangana’s Nagar Kurnool district, where a man died by suicide after leaving home with his three young children. The children remain missing, and a search operation is underway.
Father found dead in orchard after pesticide intake
Gutta Venkateshwarlu (38), originally from Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh, ran a fertilizer shop in Veldanda. He lived with his wife Deepika, along with their daughters Mokshita (8), Raghuvarshini (6), and son Shivadharam (4).
On the evening of August 30, Venkateshwarlu left home with all three children on a cart. When he failed to return or respond, Deepika filed a missing complaint with local police.
Following the complaint, police reviewed CCTV footage and launched a search operation. They found Venkateshwarlu dead in an orchard near Peddapoor village. Investigators believe he consumed pesticide.
Search for missing children intensifies near Dindi
CCTV footage captured the children heading toward the Dindi region. Based on this lead, police teams shifted their search operations to nearby areas. Officials are examining additional camera footage and speaking with residents in surrounding villages.
So far, the children remain untraced. Authorities have not confirmed whether they are safe or if any foul play is involved.
Police say the investigation will continue until all facts are uncovered and the children are found.
