Hyderabad: A man died after being tied to a tree and assaulted in Nomula village of Nakrekal mandal, Nalgonda district, on Friday.
The victim, identified as Nursing Janayya, 34, sustained serious injuries in the attack. Police said a group of unidentified persons tied him to a tree and beat him severely. He died while being taken to the Nalgonda government hospital.
Preliminary investigation suggests a suspected extramarital affair may have led to the assault. Police said they are verifying details and further information is awaited.
The incident has triggered tension in the village. Police have begun inquiries into the identities of those involved.
