Hyderabad: Hyderabad Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi on Wednesday night inspected Masab Tank as heavy rains disrupted traffic and left several areas waterlogged.
At around 10.20 pm, the Mayor entered the field to review conditions and instructed officials to act swiftly. She directed GHMC, Hydra, and Water Works staff to pump out rainwater, clear debris from roads, and ensure public convenience.
GHMC teams on alert after waterlogging in central zones
Vijayalakshmi checked water stagnation and traffic flow in Masab Tank, Lakdikapul, and Khairatabad. She told civic bodies to remain on high alert and provide immediate relief.
The Mayor urged citizens to stay cautious during downpours and assured that GHMC teams would continue field monitoring to reduce public hardship.
