Hyderabad: A 21-year-old woman from Medak district died by suicide after allegedly being deceived in a relationship. The incident took place in Thallapalli Tanda of Shivvampet mandal.
Woman consumed pesticide after rejection
According to locals, the deceased was identified as Sakkubai, daughter of Banoth Keshya. She was employed in a private company. For the past two years, she had been in a relationship with Sudhakar, also known as Siddu, a native of Narayankhed working as a constable in Sangareddy.
When Sakkubai asked him to marry her, Sudhakar allegedly stopped speaking to her and blocked her phone number two months ago. Distressed by this, she consumed pesticide near her house in Thallapalli Tanda on Monday.
Died during treatment at Gandhi Hospital
Family members rushed her first to a private hospital in Bahadurpally and later shifted her to Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad. Despite treatment, she died in the early hours of Thursday.
Based on a complaint lodged by her father Keshya, police registered a case and took up investigation.
