Hyderabad: A man was brutally stabbed to death in Medchal on Monday morning, just five days after a similar killing rocked the town. The accused, identified as 35-year-old Shankar, is on the run after allegedly murdering his uncle Mothilal, 45, in the middle of the road.
According to police, Shankar, who was reportedly intoxicated on Sunday night, attempted to sleep on a railway platform near Saraswathi Nagar, where both lived. Concerned he might fall onto the tracks, Mothilal intervened and brought him back home. The move triggered an argument between the two.
By morning, the tension turned deadly. As Mothilal stepped out for work, Shankar followed, hurled abuses, and then stabbed him repeatedly on the street before fleeing the scene.
Local police, led by CI Satyanarayan,a reached the spot and launched an investigation. Mothilal worked as a construction labourer. Efforts are underway to trace Shankar.
