HYDERABAD: All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge for Telangana, Meenakshi Natrajan, has issued a stern warning to party leaders against internal disputes and public criticism, stating that any leader engaging in such activities will face immediate action.
A review meeting was held on Tuesday at Gandhi Bhavan, chaired by Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud, to assess the party’s performance in the Medak Lok Sabha constituency. The discussions focused on the Congress government’s achievements over 14 months, particularly in development and welfare schemes implemented in the region.
Focus on Party Organisation and Strategy
Natrajan gathered feedback on key decisions, including the caste census survey and SC classification, to evaluate their impact at the ground level. She also addressed organizational matters, discussing party restructuring and committee formations to strengthen Congress’s presence in Telangana.
Ahead of the upcoming local body elections, she stressed the importance of unity among senior and new leaders to prevent coordination gaps. She urged constituency in-charges to act responsibly, ensuring that MLAs remain accessible to the public.
Call for Unity and Coordination
Natrajan directed Congress leaders to prioritize teamwork and avoid conflicts that could weaken the party. She emphasized that strong coordination and an inclusive approach were essential for success in the elections.
The meeting was attended by AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natrajan, TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud, ministers, MLAs, MLCs, District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents, former candidates, heads of Congress-affiliated organizations, public representatives, and other leaders from the Medak parliamentary segment.
