Hyderabad, February11: Minister Konda Surekha has directed officials to make all necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of Maha Shivratri celebrations across the state. The instructions were issued during a review meeting with concerned authorities.
The minister emphasised the importance of ensuring adequate facilities at temples, including crowd management, security, and sanitation measures. She also instructed officials to focus on traffic regulation and uninterrupted power and water supply to accommodate large numbers of devotees.
Highlighting the significance of Maha Shivratri, she urged officials to coordinate with temple management committees to prevent any inconvenience to worshippers. Special attention was given to major Shiva temples, where large gatherings are expected.
The minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to facilitating seamless celebrations and instructed departments to be vigilant and responsive to public needs during the festival.
