HYDERABAD: The 4th KIO National Karate Championship 2025 commenced at Gachibowli Stadium on Friday, featuring a notable karate demonstration by Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar. Both dignitaries were awarded black belts by the event organizers and posed for photographs in karate stances, adding a light-hearted moment to the inauguration.
The event was attended by TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud and Telangana Sports Authority Chairman Shivasena Reddy. World boxing champion Nikhat Zareen also graced the opening ceremony. In his address, Mahesh Kumar Goud expressed his delight at participating alongside distinguished guests and extended his best wishes to all competitors in the three-day championship.
