HYDERABAD, February 3: Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has called for former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) to attend the Assembly session on Wednesday, stating that it is crucial for ensuring justice for the Backward Classes (BCs).
Addressing the media, Ponnam asserted that the caste survey conducted in Telangana was a democratic process. He criticised political party leaders for not disclosing their details in the caste enumeration, stating that apart from Kalvakuntla Kavitha, no other member from the Kalvakuntla family had provided their information.
The minister further urged all political parties to publicly declare their stance on the caste survey. He emphasised that a transparent discussion on the issue was necessary to address the concerns of various communities and ensure fair representation.
The demand for KCR’s presence in the Assembly is expected to add to the ongoing political discourse in Telangana, with calls for greater accountability from the previous government.
