HYDERABAD: Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has strongly criticized BJP MP Bandi Sanjay over his remarks on GO 317, accusing him of spreading misinformation to mislead government employees. He asserted that the Congress government is focused on addressing employee concerns and ensuring fair transfers, unlike the previous administration.
The issue of GO 317, which regulates government employee transfers, has once again become a focal point of political debate in Telangana. While the BJP has been accusing the ruling Congress of failing to resolve grievances related to transfers, Ponnam Prabhakar countered these claims, stating that the previous BRS government had mishandled the process. He emphasized that the Congress government is working towards rectifying those past mistakes.
The minister further alleged that Bandi Sanjay’s statements were politically motivated and aimed at creating unrest among government employees. He urged BJP leaders to refrain from politicizing administrative policies and instead focus on pressing issues affecting the state.
With elections approaching, the controversy over GO 317 has intensified, fueling political clashes between the ruling Congress, the opposition BJP, and the BRS.
