Hyderabad: Minister Seethakka on Thursday visited the family of municipal worker Maidam Mahesh, who died by suicide, and assured full government support. She personally consoled the grieving relatives at their residence and handed over an ex-gratia cheque of ₹5 lakh.
Ex-gratia, insurance support assured
Seethakka promised that the insurance amount due to the family would also be released soon. She emphasized that the government would stand firmly by Mahesh’s family and extend all possible assistance on its behalf.
Appeal against politicizing the tragedy
The minister cautioned opposition parties not to exploit Mahesh’s death for political gains. She urged them to extend financial help if they wished, but not to demean the deceased by misusing his name for publicity.
