HYDERABAD: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Minister Seethakka inaugurated the ‘Run for Action-2025’ event organized by the Hyderabad Police at People’s Plaza. Following the inauguration, she presented awards to the winners of the run.
In her address, Minister Seethakka commended the police for organizing the run, stating that it serves as a source of courage and inspiration for women. She extended her Women’s Day greetings to all and emphasized the importance of both mental and physical strength for everyone.
Reflecting on societal changes, she noted that while women were once looked down upon, they are now excelling in all fields. She highlighted that the primary objective of Women’s Day is to promote equality, asserting that there is no difference between men and women, and that everyone is equal.
Minister Seethakka also acknowledged the efforts of the police in ensuring women’s safety. She remarked that the peaceful environment in Hyderabad, which attracts individuals from other countries for employment and business opportunities, is due to the diligent work of the police.
She urged that instead of relying solely on the police, every man should treat every woman as they would their own family member, ensuring women’s safety and well-being. Addressing the issue of substance abuse, she warned that drugs can ruin lives and diminish respect, calling for a conscious effort to eradicate drug use from society.
In conclusion, Minister Seethakka called on everyone to work towards the protection and development of women. She extended her International Women’s Day greetings once more, urging society to let women grow, respect them, and allow them to walk with self-respect.
