Hyderabad: Telangana ministers on Friday laid the foundation for infrastructure works worth ₹83.7 crore in Madgul mandal, Ranga Reddy district, including a 30-bed hospital and two major double-lane road projects.
Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha, Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, and Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao jointly launched the works. They were accompanied by Kalwakurthy MLA Kasireddy Narayan Reddy.
The projects include a ₹12.7 crore hospital building at Madgul and two double-lane BT roads Konaapur to Madgul and Madgul to Devarakonda Road at a cost of ₹70 crore. The ministers paid floral tributes to statues of Ambedkar, Jyotirao Phule, Chakali Ailamma, and former union minister Jaipal Reddy before addressing the public.
Speaking at the event, Komatireddy said the road projects marked a major step in Ranga Reddy district’s development. He said the Congress government had launched a series of welfare schemes, including free power, ₹2 lakh farm loan waivers, and other initiatives aimed at inclusive growth.
Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao said the new government was committed to delivering on Indiramma-era promises. He highlighted ongoing schemes like ₹500 bonus on fine rice, Indiramma housing for the homeless, and 200 units of free electricity. He also pointed to the recent approval of 42% reservations for BCs following a caste enumeration.
Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha said the 30-bed hospital in Madgul would provide much-needed medical access for locals. He reiterated the government’s welfare focus and said women’s empowerment would soon be a key priority.
The ministers later distributed Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak cheques to 220 beneficiaries from Madgul mandal.
Kalwakurthy MLA Kasireddy Narayan Reddy, Ranga Reddy District Collector C. Narayana Reddy, DMHO Dr. Venkateshwar Rao, Ibrahimpatnam RDO Ananth Reddy, R&B officials, and local public representatives were present.
