Hyderabad: A trio of Telangana ministers – Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, and Adluri Laxman Kumar—are set to tour the undivided Nalgonda district on Tuesday for a two-pronged mission: opening the irrigation season and handing out new white ration cards.
Their day begins early in Nagarjuna Sagar, where they’ll release water from the Left Canal to supply downstream ayacut areas. From there, the focus shifts to welfare.
Uttam Kumar Reddy is headed to his home turf in Huzurnagar to personally oversee the distribution of ration cards. Similar drives will take place in Katangur mandal (Nakrekal), Bhudan Pochampally (Bhongir), and parts of the Aleru constituency.
The tour combines infrastructure and welfare outreach, signaling the government’s push to synchronize seasonal farming support with benefits for newly enrolled families.
