HYDERABAD: Two men have been arrested in Telangana’s Ranga Reddy district for attempting to sexually assault a minor girl inside her home. The incident took place on the night of 28 April in Pinjrala village, located in Kothur mandal.
According to police reports, the two accused—identified as Berla Ramesh and Goda Krishnia, both residents of the same village—allegedly broke into the house where the girl was alone and tried to sexually assault her. The minor managed to escape and alerted neighbours, who then informed the police.
Based on the complaint filed by the victim and local residents, Kothur police launched an immediate investigation. A special team was formed to track down the accused.
Circle Inspector Narasimha Rao confirmed that both Ramesh and Krishnia were taken into custody and subsequently remanded to judicial custody.
The swift police action has been appreciated by the local community, while the case continues to be under investigation.
