HYDERABAD: Representatives of the Telangana State Minority Employees Association have appealed to the Telangana government to implement a 4% reservation for minorities, particularly BC-E category Muslims, in all outsourcing recruitments.
In a letter addressed to the government, the association noted that Telangana is in the process of establishing a separate corporation to oversee the welfare of outsourcing employees across various departments. This move has been welcomed as a positive development and is seen as a significant step towards securing the future of thousands of contract and outsourcing employees in the state.
Association President Farooq Ahmed strongly urged that the constitutionally and legally recognised 4% reservation be effectively implemented not only within the proposed corporation’s recruitment processes but also across all outsourcing-related employment.
He stated that providing adequate representation to marginalised communities in such opportunities would not only strengthen the principles of social justice but also reinforce the state government’s commitment to inclusive development and minority welfare.
The representatives expressed hope that their sincere request would be taken seriously and that appropriate instructions would be issued to the concerned departments and authorities in this regard.
