Hyderabad: Miss World 2025 contestants are set to split up across Telangana on Friday, 16 May, for a showcase of the state’s healthcare prowess and environmental heritage.
Two separate groups of international pageant contenders will cover very different ground. The first will be inside the sleek corridors of AIG Hospital, attending a special medical tourism event laid on for the occasion. Not just a photo op—this includes a deep-dive into robotic surgeries, global treatment standards, and how the hospital caters to international patients.
At the same time, the second group will head out to Mahbubnagar. The destination: a sprawling, 700-year-old banyan tree—famous locally for its massive canopy and mythic appearance. Contestants will be briefed on its ecological relevance and the conservation efforts tied to it.
These visits are part of Telangana’s attempt to position itself on the global map—not just for pageantry, but for what it can offer in medicine, heritage, and tourism.
