Hyderabad: As heavy rains continued to lash Kamareddy district, MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Wednesday urged the state government to intensify relief operations in all affected zones.
She said several flood-hit residents reported receiving no help from local authorities. “People are distressed that no relief has reached them,” she told officials after speaking with families in submerged areas.

Kavitha asked officials to evacuate people from low-lying areas and arrange temporary shelters without delay. She also flagged severe food shortages in multiple locations.
She appealed to the public to remain alert and advised officials to stay fully engaged as the rainfall continues.
