HYDERABAD: MLC Teenmaar Mallanna has launched a sharp attack on Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, claiming that he played a crucial role in securing the CM’s position but is now dissatisfied with his governance.
Mallanna alleged that within a year of coming to power, the Congress government has faced strong public opposition, which he attributes directly to Revanth Reddy’s leadership. He further stated that Revanth’s policies are frustrating the people and damaging the party.
He went on to accuse Revanth Reddy of indirectly supporting the BJP, stating that the CM intentionally caused Congress’ defeat in Mahabubnagar and Malkajgiri parliamentary constituencies, which were crucial seats for the party. According to Mallanna, if Revanth had campaigned strongly, the Modi government might not have come to power at the Centre. He urged the CM to introspect on why the Congress government is facing opposition within just one year of its rule.
Mallanna also blamed Revanth Reddy for Congress’ poor performance in the recent Teachers’ and Graduate MLC elections, where the BJP secured victory. He criticised Revanth’s leadership style, remarking that true leaders create a lasting impact, whereas Revanth’s own ministers are forgetting his name.
Further intensifying his attack, Mallanna labeled Revanth Reddy as a ‘villain’ and directly challenged him on the caste census issue. He asserted, “Your caste survey is flawed, and I will prove it. Are you ready for a debate?”, throwing an open challenge to the CM.
