HYDERABAD: A mobile shop owner is missing in Narasaraopet, the district headquarters of Palnadu, raising concerns among local lenders and traders. His shop, located on the main road leading to the RDO office, has remained locked for the past three days.
According to sources, the businessman switched off his phone and has not been reachable since, sparking speculation of deliberate disappearance. Rumors are circulating in the town that the mobile trader had accumulated debts amounting to nearly ₹8 crore.
The sudden disappearance has alarmed those who extended credit to the businessman, many of whom are now in distress. In recent weeks, Narasaraopet has seen a string of such incidents, with multiple traders allegedly defaulting on dues. The latest case has intensified worries among the affected parties, with some expressing deep concern over the recurring trend of business-related absconding.
