Hyderabad: On Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, Indian cricket team pacer Mohammed Siraj recalled his bond with the leader. Siraj said Modi always stood by the team, regardless of victory or defeat, and called him a true source of inspiration.
Siraj shared a video on X under the My Modi Story campaign. In the clip, he recalled the 2023 ODI World Cup final loss. He said Modi entered the dressing room to console the team, and his words filled them with motivation. Siraj added that Modi personally called him after India’s T20 World Cup victory to offer congratulations. “In defeat and in victory, he always stood with us,” Siraj said.

Former Indian cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth also recalled his first meeting with Modi. He praised the Prime Minister’s intellect and grasp of issues. He added that Modi remained humble even at 75 and continued to work tirelessly for the nation.
