Telangana cops salute Mohammed Siraj’s dual role as DSP and Team India pacer
Hyderabad: Telangana Police commended Mohammed Siraj for his match-winning performance in India’s final Test against England, calling the Hyderabad-born fast bowler the “Pride of Telangana” and hailing his status as both national cricketer and Deputy Superintendent of Police.
Siraj was at the heart of India’s comeback, sealing the series-levelling win with a clutch bowling display in the final Test. Following the win, Hyderabad Police posted a message on their official social media account, congratulating him for the effort.
“Congratulations to DSP Mohammed Siraj,” the post read. “Your performance in India’s historic Test win over England was exceptional.” The department referred to him as “a hero in uniform and sport,” celebrating his contribution both on and off the field.
Siraj, who was named an honorary DSP in Telangana for his cricketing achievements, has once again given his department something to cheer about. His latest on-field showing drew applause within the department, with officials expressing pride in his international success.
