MP Laxman urges youth to join ‘Sardar@150 Unity March’ in Telangana

Hyderabad: Rajya Sabha MP Dr. K. Laxman on Tuesday urged Telangana’s youth to actively take part in the “Sardar@150 Unity March” running across the state from October 31 to November 25.

At a press conference held at CGO Towers in Kavadiguda, Laxman stressed Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s key role in merging Hyderabad State with the Indian Union. He said Patel’s leadership safeguarded the nation’s unity and sovereignty, rising above barriers of caste and religion.

“Every Indian must honour Sardar Patel’s legacy by supporting his vision of a united India,” he said. Laxman explained that the march aims to honour Telangana’s freedom fighters and ignite patriotic spirit in the youth.

He noted that the padayatras promote unity, Swadeshi values, and a drug-free lifestyle. They also support the broader national vision of building a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047.

Laxman also unveiled the official poster for the district-level marches. Those present included State Convenor Madhavi Kolli, State Member Samala Pavan Reddy, NSS District Youth Officer Saida Nayak, and MY Bharat District Youth Officer Khushbu Gupta.
