Hyderabad: The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FTCCI), in partnership with the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), organised a seminar on “Empowering MSMEs through Strategic Finance and Marketing Excellence” at Federation House on Wednesday.
Delivering the keynote, V.V.R. Prasad, DGM, SIDBI Hyderabad, said MSMEs drive exports and employment in the national economy. He explained sector-specific SIDBI schemes, including TUF for textiles, Green Financing for sustainable practices, AHIDF for the food sector, SHWAS for healthcare enterprises, SMILE for soft loans, Ubharte Sitaare for export-oriented units, STHAPAN for greenfield projects, SAATH for SC/ST-led MSMEs and ARJANA for women-led enterprises. He also spoke about general schemes on technology upgrades, credit guarantee support, working capital, and digital platforms such as PSB Loans in 59 Minutes and the Jan Samarth portal.
Welcoming participants, FTCCI president R. Ravi Kumar said MSMEs face tough global pressures, including tariff threats, but remain critical to making India globally competitive. “The road ahead for MSMEs is challenging. They need the right tools and strategies to withstand global pressures. Together, we can make India stronger and tariff threat-free,” he said.
Premchand Kankaria, chairman of the FTCCI Banking, Finance and Insurance Committee, said MSMEs struggle with access to affordable capital and digital readiness. “They need cost-effective digital marketing strategies and easy credit for survival and growth. FTCCI has always worked to equip MSMEs with the tools required for progress,” he said.
