Mujtaba Hasan Askari appointed as Telangana State Head for Healthcare Professionals – AIPC
Hyderabad, February 7: Mujtaba Hasan Askari has been appointed as the Telangana State Head for the Healthcare Professionals Domain under the All-India Professionals Congress (AIPC). He expressed his gratitude to Praveen Chakravarty, Chairman of AIPC, for entrusting him with this role.
In his new position, Mujtaba will work towards addressing the concerns of healthcare professionals across Telangana. His focus will include collaboration with the state government to develop solutions for issues affecting medical and dental practitioners, nursing and allied health professionals, mental health experts, emergency and critical care teams, alternative medicine practitioners, and veterinary professionals. He aims to ensure that healthcare professionals receive the necessary support to enhance service delivery.
Mujtaba Hasan Askari is the Founder and Trustee of Helping Hand Foundation (HHF), an organization dedicated to public health and social development. He left a corporate career at Infosys Technologies to focus on community health initiatives. Under his leadership, HHF has established a Help Desk system across 13 state-run hospitals to improve patient care. Additionally, he has played a key role in setting up over 20 urban primary health centers, benefiting 6-7 lakh economically disadvantaged individuals annually. His efforts extend to rural healthcare, with clinics operating in 30 villages.
His initiatives include providing free dialysis services, rehabilitation, geriatric care, and supporting over 200 pediatric heart surgeries for children from marginalized backgrounds. He also founded a free primary school catering to 450 children of migrant laborers. For the past 18 years, he has conducted ‘Praja Darbar,’ a daily initiative providing free medical aid and guidance to the underprivileged.
Recognizing his contributions to public health, Mujtaba Hasan Askari was honored with the Vocational Excellence Award 2024for his work in making healthcare accessible and affordable to vulnerable communities. With his new responsibility at AIPC Telangana, he is committed to amplifying the concerns of healthcare professionals and advocating for sectoral improvements.
AIPC, a specialized department of the Indian National Congress, serves as a platform for professionals from various fields to engage in governance, policymaking, and socio-economic reforms. It brings together experts, including doctors, engineers, lawyers, academicians, and entrepreneurs, to contribute towards nation-building.
