Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Monday caught Gorla Panini, District Educational Officer of Mulugu, and Thotte Dilip Kumar Yadav, a junior assistant in the establishment section of the DEO office, while accepting a bribe of ₹20,000.
The bribe was allegedly demanded to process the joining report of the complainant and issue the necessary orders allowing the assumption of duties. The ACB said both officials were caught red-handed following a complaint.
The agency urged the public to report similar incidents of bribery involving government officials. Complaints can be lodged through the toll-free number 1064 or via WhatsApp at 9440446106. The ACB is also available on Facebook and through its official website, https://acb.telangana.gov.in.
The bureau assured that the identities of complainants will be kept confidential.
