Nizamabad: NCC students staged a silent protest during Home Minister Amit Shah’s public meeting in Nizamabad on Sunday. The protest took place at the Polytechnic College Grounds, where Shah addressed a Kisan Maha Sabha after inaugurating the Turmeric Board office in the town.
Carrying placards reading “Save NCC,” the students demanded more employment opportunities in the Indian Army and NCC wings. Police quickly intervened, seized the placards, and removed the protesters from the venue.
Sources said the students were taken into custody after they were escorted out of the meeting site.
