Hyderabad: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday announced the results for NEET UG 2025, the national-level entrance exam for MBBS, BDS and other medical courses. This year, Rajasthan’s Mahesh Kumar clinched the All India Rank 1, leading a highly competitive pool of over 20 lakh aspirants.
Ahead of releasing the final results, NTA had earlier in the day published the final answer key. Within a few hours, individual scorecards were sent to candidates via email. Students who appeared for the exam can also access their results on the official website https://neet.nta.nic.in/.
Following Mahesh Kumar at the top, Utkarsh Avadiya from Madhya Pradesh secured the second rank, Krishang Joshi from Maharashtra took the third, Mrinal Kishore Jha from Delhi-NCT stood fourth, and Avika Agarwal claimed the fifth position.
Telangana candidates also made a strong mark in the top 100. Jeevan Saikumar emerged as the state topper with an impressive 18th rank. Other high scorers from Telangana include Shanmukh Nishikanth Akshintala (37th rank), M Varun (46th rank), Y Shanmukh (48th rank), and Vidisha Maaji (95th rank).
From neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, Karthik Ram Kiriti secured the 19th rank, followed by Kodavati Mohit Sriram (56th), Desina Surya Charan (59th), P Avinash (64th), Y Sameer Kumar (70th), and T Shivamani (92nd rank).
Currently, Telangana offers 8,515 MBBS seats across 33 government medical colleges, 2 deemed universities, and 29 private medical colleges.
The NEET UG 2025 exam was conducted on May 4 under tight security at more than 5,400 centres across India and 14 international locations. While last year saw over 23 lakh candidates register for the exam, this year’s turnout dropped slightly, with around 20.8 lakh students appearing. From Telangana alone, 72,507 candidates took the exam this year.
These students have the opportunity to participate in the counseling process and get admission in the medical college of their choice.
