Hyderabad: The Telangana government will operationalise two new government polytechnic colleges—one in Kesamudram, Mahabubabad, and another in Patancheru—from the academic year 2025-26.
The Kesamudram polytechnic will offer diploma programmes in artificial intelligence, computer science, electrical engineering, electric vehicle technology, and embedded systems. At Patancheru, diploma courses will be available in computer science, electrical and electronics engineering, and electronics and communication engineering.
Each diploma course will have an intake of 60 seats.
With these additions, the number of government polytechnics in the state will increase to 59, bringing the total intake capacity to 14,280 seats for the academic year 2025-26.
