Hyderabad: Nirmal district police raided an online betting syndicate in Bhainsa and arrested its key operator, Syed Azam. He had allegedly run the racket for over a year. Officers took him into custody in Owaisi Nagar.
District SP Janaki Sharmila said Azam operated under the cover of a service centre using the betting app Allpannel.com. He collected bank accounts and internet banking access from victims by promising monthly returns, then diverted the money into his control. Police said he laundered the proceeds through multiple accounts, filed fake IT returns, and created forged income certificates to keep the racket alive.
