HYDERABAD: A second-year B.Tech student from NIT Warangal was found dead near a lake, with police suspecting suicide due to academic pressure.
The student, identified as 22-year-old Hrithik Sai from Kothapet in Hyderabad, had been missing since Wednesday. His classmates filed a complaint with the police after they were unable to contact him.
On Thursday evening, police discovered an unidentified body in the Vaddepalli lake near the college campus.
Hrithik Sai’s fellow students later identified the body as his.
Initial suspicions suggest that Hrithik Sai may have taken his own life due to low academic scores, although further investigation is underway.
