Hyderabad: Students of Nizam College staged a protest on Tuesday demanding immediate hostel allotment for those who paid the mess deposit nearly three weeks ago.
The protesters questioned the college administration’s inaction despite collecting deposits from dozens of students. “It’s been 20 days since we paid the mess deposit—how long must we wait for hostel accommodation?” one student asked during the demonstration.
Gathered inside the college premises, students insisted that all those who paid the mess deposit be provided hostel facilities without delay. The protest, led by second and third-year degree students, continued into the evening with a symbolic demonstration in the dark.
They also called for the immediate reopening of the Nizam College hostel and equitable allocation of rooms.
