Hyderabad: A major mishap was narrowly averted near the Indalwai toll plaza in Nizamabad district on Monday morning when a container lorry heading from Hyderabad to Nagpur caught fire.
The incident occurred at around 8:20 a.m. while the lorry was halted at the toll plaza. Flames suddenly erupted while diesel was being transferred from one tanker to another, setting the vehicle ablaze. The driver escaped with minor injuries.

Due to light traffic on the highway at the time, there was no loss of life. Toll plaza staff and fire services personnel responded swiftly and brought the blaze under control.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
