Hyderabad: NMDC Ltd on Saturday hosted the NMDC Heritage Run 2025 in Hyderabad, drawing over 1,000 runners in a prelude to the upcoming NMDC Hyderabad Marathon. The event featured 5K, 10K, and 21K categories, promoting not just fitness but also community engagement and social awareness.
NGOs including Alokit, Blood Warriors, and Operation Eyesight participated in the run to spotlight issues like education access, rare blood disorders, and preventable blindness.
NMDC officials said the Heritage Run was designed to celebrate Hyderabad’s cultural spirit while creating visibility for important social initiatives. “This isn’t just a warm-up; it’s a platform for purpose,” said the organisers.
With the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon on the horizon, the Heritage Run aimed to energise participants and set the tone for one of the city’s largest athletic gatherings.
