Srinivas said the district has 7,98,269 ration cards, covering 30,42,056 beneficiaries. The department prepared 17,102 tonnes of fine rice for this month’s quota and stored it in warehouses for supply.

In the first phase, officials sent 8,500 tonnes of rice to 653 ration shops across the city. They also began distributing wheat under the GHMC limits, with 3,400 tonnes allotted for November.
