HYDERABAD: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has cancelled the results of 110 students after uncovering irregularities in the JEE Main Session 2 results. According to the NTA, these students were found to be involved in the JEE scam and had used forged documents to seek admission.
The agency revealed that various forms of malpractice were detected among the candidates, including the submission of fake certificates and false information. As a result, their results have been withheld pending further action.
Alongside this action, the NTA has also released the cut-off percentile scores for different categories for eligibility to appear in the JEE Advanced examination:
– General Category: 93.102
– Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 80.383
– Other Backward Classes (OBC): 79.431
– Scheduled Castes (SC): 61.15
– Scheduled Tribes (ST): 47.90
The JEE Advanced exam is scheduled to be held on 18 May. The online application window will be open from 23 April to 2 May.
This move by the NTA is being viewed as a strict measure to uphold transparency and integrity in the conduct of JEE examinations. Students and parents have been urged to submit only accurate and verified documents while applying.
