Hyderabad: NTPC expressed readiness to invest nearly ₹80,000 crore in solar and wind power projects in Telangana, according to the company’s top management. A delegation led by NTPC Chairman and Managing Director Gurdeep Singh met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at his Jubilee Hills residence and conveyed the company’s investment plans in the renewable energy sector.
NTPC eyes ₹80,000 crore renewable push in Telangana
The delegation informed the Chief Minister that NTPC was keen to expand operations in solar and wind power generation, identifying a major opportunity in floating solar projects. Gurdeep Singh said Telangana had the potential to generate 6,700 MW through floating solar alone.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy assured the visiting team that the state government would extend full cooperation to NTPC in setting up these projects. The talks also veered toward speeding up renewable energy projects a push to keep pace with the state’s rising power demand while staying true to its green goals.
