Hyderabad: The Telangana government appointed retired IAS officer NVS Reddy as Advisor to the Government (Urban Transport) for a period of two years. The Chief Secretary issued the orders on Tuesday.
Reddy earlier served as managing director of Hyderabad Metro Rail. The state decided to use his expertise in urban mobility and transport to guide policy and provide technical advice.

The government assigned the additional charge of Hyderabad Metro Rail managing director to Sarfaraz Ahmed. Officials also appointed Shruti Ojha as Director of Women and Child Welfare, Krishna Aditya as Secretary of SC Gurukul Schools, and Kota Srivatsav as Secretary of HMDA.
Authorities named M. Rajareddy as Chief Rationing Officer in Hyderabad and posted Rajeshwar as Additional Collector of Adilabad district.
