Hyderabad: Four individuals convicted in the Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) case, including former minister G Janardhan Reddy, have moved the Telangana High Court seeking bail.
Alongside Janardhan Reddy, Srinivas Reddy, Raj Gopal, and Ali Khan filed petitions asserting that insufficient evidence was presented to justify their conviction. During the hearing, the petitioners argued that they had complied with all terms of their previous bail and had never violated any conditions.
They assured the court that if granted bail again, they would fully adhere to any legal requirements set by the judiciary.
On 6 May, the CBI court in Nampally had convicted all four in the high-profile illegal mining case. The convicts are currently lodged in Chanchalguda Jail.
