University leaders said the event brought together all sections of the campus. “From the administration to support staff, everyone shares the goal of building a better institution,” said a university spokesperson.

Festival celebrates culture and nature

Bathukamma is a well-known floral festival of Telangana, honouring the divine feminine. During the celebration, women arranged seasonal flowers in tall, cone-shaped stacks. They sang traditional songs and danced in circles around the floral arrangements.

Finally, participants immersed the Bathukamma in nearby water bodies. This marked the end of the ritual and symbolised nature’s cycle. Staff said the practice reflects the connection between culture, faith, and the environment.
