Hyderabad: A devastating collision in the early hours of Saturday on the Outer Ring Road near Pedda Amberpet claimed three lives, after a car rammed a stationary Bolero, sparking a massive blaze that engulfed both vehicles.
The accident took place around 3 a.m. near Gandicheruvu, under the Abdullapurmet mandal, as a Tata Quorri vehicle heading from Shamshabad towards Ghatkesar slammed into the parked Bolero. Reports indicate the Bolero had been stopped to assist another vehicle that had earlier crashed into the divider on the opposite side of the carriageway.
The impact of the collision was severe enough to ignite a fire, rapidly consuming both vehicles. Three men were inside the car at the time. Two of them were burnt alive in the flames, while the third was pulled out but succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to hospital.
Firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after and managed to bring the fire under control. Abdullapurmet police also responded swiftly, launching rescue and recovery efforts.
The deceased were later identified as Deepesh Agarwal (23) of Bahadurpura HB Colony, Sanchay Malpani (22) of Vijayanagar Colony, and Priyanshu Mittal (23) from Moosapet all residents of Hyderabad.
