HYDERABAD: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has strongly condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, South Kashmir, describing it as even more serious than the Pulwama and Uri attacks.
Owaisi said that the terrorists brutally killed innocent civilians in Pahalgam after identifying them based on their religion, calling the incident a tragic massacre. He attributed the attack to a failure of intelligence and urged the central government to take full responsibility and ensure severe punishment for those involved.
He further stated that the attack not only resulted in the loss of innocent lives but was also a deliberate attempt to undermine Kashmir’s tourism industry. According to Owaisi, the aim of the terrorists was to spread fear across India and deliberately target innocent people.
Calling for a thorough reassessment of the government’s preventive measures, he urged authorities to ensure that such incidents are not repeated in the future. He expressed solidarity with the families of the victims and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.
It is worth noting that the terror attack occurred in Pahalgam on Tuesday, claiming the lives of at least 28 individuals and injuring several others, including two foreign nationals. The incident has emerged as a significant challenge to Kashmir’s tourism sector and public safety.
