Hyderabad: Banjara Hills police arrested a Pakistani national accused of deceiving women into marriage through religious conversion.
Investigators said Fahad, who moved from Pakistan to Hyderabad in 1998, was employed at a HiTec City IT firm. In 2016, he allegedly persuaded a colleague named Keerthi to change her religion and marry him, later renaming her Doha Fatima. The couple had been residing in Hyderabad since the marriage.
Police said the case came to light when Keerthi caught Fahad with another woman. She informed the police, who detained both and shifted them to Banjara Hills police station.
