Hyderabad: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught a panchayat secretary while he took a ₹20,000 bribe to allot a house number for a new residence in Karimnagar district.
The incident occurred in Challur village of Veenavanka mandal. The accused, Kumbam Nagaraju, demanded the bribe to assign a house number to the complainant’s newly built home.
Panchayat secretary bribe case triggers ACB action
After receiving a complaint, ACB officials set a trap and arrested Nagaraju while he accepted the money. Officials urged the public to report such demands from government staff.
