Hyderabad: Members of the Progressive Democratic Students Union (PDSU) staged a protest outside the residence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Monday, raising slogans and demanding immediate release of pending fee reimbursement and scholarship amounts.
The students also called for strict legal action against engineering colleges collecting donations, accusing them of exploiting students despite government regulations.
PDSU alleged that the state government was conspiring to dismantle the fee reimbursement scheme and warned against any such move. Protesters raised slogans against the Chief Minister and his administration, demanding protection of student welfare schemes.
Police intervened and took the protesting students into custody.
