Hyderabad: Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) and Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University will hold joint counselling under the special quota for undergraduate (UG) courses from September 24 to 27, registrar Vidhyasagar announced on Tuesday.
PJTSAU special quota counselling from September 24
The counselling will start on September 24 and continue till September 27. Sessions will begin every day at 10 a.m. at the PJTSAU auditorium in Rajendranagar. The registrar explained that the exercise will fill seats reserved under different categories, such as NCC, sports, CAP (Children of Armed Personnel), children of farmers, and differently abled students.
In addition, he urged eligible candidates to follow the schedule closely and carry the required documents. “Students who report on time will have a better chance of getting their preferred course,” he noted.
Universities to oversee the process jointly
Meanwhile, PJTSAU and Konda Laxman Horticultural University will supervise the sessions together. Officials said this joint format ensures transparency and equal opportunity. Moreover, the counselling covers admissions to undergraduate programmes in agriculture, horticulture, and allied sciences.
To make the process easier, extra staff will guide students and parents at the venue. Furthermore, help desks will remain open throughout the four days to explain procedures, rules, and document submission. University representatives added that they want the process to remain smooth and clear.
Information available online
For detailed information, students can check eligibility criteria, document lists, and the daily schedule on the PJTSAU website www.pjtsau.edu.in. Officials confirmed that the portal already carries instructions to help applicants prepare in advance.
In addition, the registrar said that arrangements for seating, drinking water, and waiting areas have been finalised. Therefore, he reminded students not to miss the opportunity and to report on time with complete paperwork. Finally, he stressed that this round of counselling is crucial to ensure that special quota seats do not remain vacant.
