New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the India Mobile Congress 2025 (IMC 2025) at Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, New Delhi, on October 8. The event will continue until October 11 under the theme “Innovate to Transform.”
Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya M. Scindia reviewed the final arrangements at the venue. He interacted with exhibitors and startups, toured the exhibition area, and held meetings with officials from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI).
India Mobile Congress 2025 to highlight 6G, AI and self-reliance
Jointly organised by DoT and COAI, IMC 2025 aims to promote India’s digital transformation and Atmanirbhar Bharat in telecom manufacturing. The event will host over 1.5 lakh visitors, 7,000 global delegates, and 400 exhibitors from 150 countries. It will also feature 1,600 demonstrations, 100 sessions, and 800 speakers across 4.5 lakh sq. ft.
Scindia called IMC 2025 a turning point for India’s connectivity revolution. He said telecom would soon become the backbone of emerging technologies. The event, he noted, will showcase India’s leadership in 6G research, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, IoT, and satellite communication.
The conference will include six major summits — the Bharat 6G Symposium, International AI Summit, Cyber Security Summit, Satcom Summit, IMC Aspire Programme for startups, and the Global Startup World Cup – India Edition. These forums will bring together innovators, investors, and industry leaders from across the world.
Highlighting India’s progress, Scindia said the country now ranks among the top three digital economies. It has 1.2 billion mobile users and 970 million internet subscribers. India also achieved the world’s fastest 5G rollout in just 22 months. He added that IMC 2025 will reflect India’s ability to “design in India, solve in India, and scale in India.”
The Prime Minister’s inauguration will underline India’s growing global influence in telecom innovation. Scindia said, “Under his leadership, India’s telecom sector has become a beacon of connectivity and inclusion.”
