Madina accident prompts PM Modi to assure support

Moreover, he noted that the Indian Embassy in Riyadh and the Consulate in Jeddah were providing all possible assistance. He added that officials remained in close contact with Saudi Arabian authorities.

External Affairs Minister Jaishankar also reacted to the incident through a message on X. He said he felt deeply shocked by the reports and extended sincere condolences to the bereaved families. Furthermore, he confirmed that the Embassy and Consulate were giving full support to affected nationals and their families. He also prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.
